Billing & Refund Policy
This Billing & Refund Policy is part of the Terms of Service. Payments are processed by Stripe; by subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms.
1. Plans, Seats, and Add-Ons

Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes (including ITBIS) unless stated. DOP equivalent shown in-app at the time of billing.
2. Billing Cycle and Renewals
2.1 Subscriptions are billed in advance each month and renew automatically until cancelled. You authorize recurring charges to your payment method on file.
2.2 Seat changes: Adding seats is charged on a prorated basis for the current cycle. Removing seats takes effect at the next renewal — no mid-cycle credit unless required by law.
2.3 Usage / AI: Managed AI or overage charges, if any, are billed in arrears at the end of each billing cycle.
3. Failed Payments
If a charge fails, we may retry the payment, notify you by email, and suspend your account after a 7-day grace period. Your data is retained during suspension per the Terms and may be deleted after prolonged non-payment (see §5 of the Terms regarding data retention).
4. Cancellation
You may cancel anytime from account settings or by emailing support@kontaible.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan remains active until the end of the current paid period. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused partial periods, except as described in §5 below or where required by law.
5. Refunds
5.1 14-Day Satisfaction Window
5.2 Outside the Refund Window
Payments made outside the 14-day window are non-refundable, except:
- (a) where required by Dominican consumer law (Ley 358-05);
- (b) duplicate or clearly erroneous charges; or
- (c) a documented, prolonged Service outage that we determine warrants a credit or refund.
5.3 Non-Refundable Items
AI credits, add-on usage, and third-party pass-through costs are non-refundable once consumed, regardless of cancellation.
5.4 Processing Time
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear depending on your bank or card issuer.
6. Taxes
You are responsible for applicable taxes in your jurisdiction. If we are required to collect ITBIS or other taxes, they will be added to your invoice and displayed at checkout.
7. Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal date. You may cancel before the change takes effect if you do not accept the new pricing.
8. Invoices & Fiscal Receipts
Invoices and receipts are available in your account settings under Billing. If you need a Dominican fiscal receipt (NCF / e-CF), contact support@kontaible.com — availability depends on our current tax registration status.
9. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at support@kontaible.com before filing a chargeback with your bank. Filing a chargeback without contacting us first may result in account suspension while we investigate the dispute.
